Our goal with this website is to provide the Zeitgeist community a tool to find and display resources made available by fellow Zeitgeisters.
The main commitment is to produce easy search functions and a simple interface to display all the resources available.

Due to expanding Wlan wireless project, we have working internet in Pekarna. Looks like our router catches signal from school across the street. Until we arrange ADSL connection, this should cover basic needs for internet access.

Glad to announce, that our community space got electricity. Thanks to all involved in gathering all required components to make professionally built infrastructure. We still need to make internal wiring for lights and power plugs.

ZR OpenSource on google code - Zeitgeist Resources Version 1.1

For developing and better integration with developments on ZR opensource we created the code at: http://code.google.com/p/rbe-pod-resources/

This way people can contribute more and develop a better resource and project management system.

Language files translation done 95% - Zeitgeist Resources Version 1.1

We are now at 95% of the full multilingual ZR scripting. English will be default and Portuguese will be available for now.

I added Project News as you can see. Maybe I will be getting rid of the site news, since it can be posted in the Zeitgeist Resources project now, heh.

New Chat (IRC) and More

Well I finally put up the IRC chat. Now we can converse with the rest of the Zeitgeist community directly from the site. :)

I have also added Link posting, so now users can post links for everyone to see on the Zeitgeist Links page.

The last update I made was adding members to Projects. I'm still in the process of adding Private Joining. But when you join a project now, you will be listed on the map. So now you can view where all the members of the Project are located.

More coming soon.

Hey another update today.

In the past I was asked by many people where to go to submit feedback. Well now I finally added the function. Tell us anything you want about the ZeitgeistResources.com site.

I also fixed up the navigation buttons. They are now real links, so you can right click and open in a different window or tab.

More to come. :)

Fixed Chat

First of all it has been a long time since I have updated the site.

I have updated the Chat system. So it should be working better now. You can also use some HTML tags in your messages. You can also set yourself as Away From Keyboard(AFK) by typing /afk.

Next I will be adding more features to the projects and maybe a search function for it.

Map Location and Conversation

One of our members made a big contribution and made us a Map Location system. He also added a conversation page to discuss things on the site.

So set your location by clicking on your location in edit profile.

I believe that is possible, but first we have to think about the most functional group system that could work and be useful for every project.

I have an idea. Is there a way you can set up each project with its own membership database so that mass e-mails can be sent out like a newsletter?

Resources and Countries

I have added a country search field for the Find Resources page with the help from the community.
I have forgotten to mention in the past that you can click on any country on the right to view a list of people residing in that country.

Also the open source project has gone a step further by using Launchpad as our platform to develop.

Open Source and Fixed Bugs

Hello everyone, I just wanted to say that since the last news post I have fixed quite a few bugs that should make the site run like it is supposed to. And I have also put up the source code under guides.

I hope this will help anyone out. And if you would like to improve the site, by all means edit the code and send it back to me. I will take a look at it, and put it up.

I will list the needed features on the Open Source page.

I plan on releasing the site code as open source pretty soon. :) I just want to add some comments and fix up some efficiencies. So I'll post once its done.

Yeah I'm doing the location based search next. So far it will take Zip codes, save them as latitude longitude. Then calculate distances when searched.

yeah, and find resources by country. i could help with coding, no need to give access to anything, if you could just release the site in open source, i could contribute by coding something and show you when i get something done.

By the way, could you make the country stats so that we could click the country name and see which person is from Finland, for instance. That would be neat :).

Projects and Profiles Updated

I have added a couple more details and functions to the Projects. You can now choose to receive applications through e-mail or messages. I also added a details field to projects for a further description of the project.

For profiles I added a preference to receive an e-mail notification when someone sends you a message.

More updates are on the way. If you have any suggestions, comment here or leave me a message.

Projects Fully Functional

The projects function is fully functional, and I will be adding features to this area upon request. Keep in mind I still need to implement the image changing function to both the profiles and projects.

I have also added a simple Shop to help advertise the movement, and provoke questions to anyone that doesn't know of the ideas behind the Zeitgeist Movement. These shirts are one dollar higher than their base prices. This money will go towards paying for this site and bandwidth along with funding other projects and groups.

I fixed up the projects, I added a more detailed field to add more details about the project your creating. Also the data submitted if incorrect will be displayed at the top. Thanks for the feedback.
