A technocratic eco-unit (TEU) is an ecomimetic settlement that is designed for sustainability (financial as well as ecological), for reduced reliance on the monetary system, and for the furthering of science and technology.
A TEU is 20 hectares of land consisting of housing development, working spaces, and farmland.
Working spaces, food, community, and nature are all designed to be within walkable distance, which means that cars are not needed to access most of life's daily necessities. This saves members money, reduces their greenhouse gas emissions, and allows them to work together towards the creation of a new society.
